The Museum of Printing in Haverhill, MA which holds the world’s largest collections of printing, typesetting hardware, and ephemera approached Endpaper Studio to design a new logo / mark that would be used on all communications in time for TypeCon2017 in Boston, MA.
We designed a logo / mark that reflected the history of movable type, and the tools used for printing (particularly printing matrices and the California case). Ultimately coming up with a solution that conveys a modernly historic feel with movement that stands well amongst other museums and institutions here and abroad.
We took on this challenge knowing this was pro-bono but hey, the research and ability to use the museums archives ROCKED! Yeah we're nerds.
